Berlin in miniature

The workshop is designed according to the interests expressed by the group. The pupils can explore one site or several historic sites in Berlin. They can also research actual urban history, well-known or lesser known people of Berlin. The museum provides materials from its archives for these different purposes. 

In a subsequent guided tour, the pupils become active themselves: With our mobile phones, we start looking for traces and literally experience Berlin from the perspective of the miniatures! The pupils simulate historic scenes with miniature figures. This results in photos that are often amusing and surprising and allow for a unique perspective on Berlin’s history.
