The museum presents well-known and lesser known aspects about Berlin’s Mitte district – from the historic past to the present day – in exhibition spaces organized according to different themes.

The walk-in depot

We illustrate collecting and preservation

Normally, visitors do not get access to a museum’s depot. However, the Mitte Museum interprets this relationship differently. Here, the depot is also an exhibition space ­– a walk-in depot.

The external exhibition spaces at the Tiergarten City Hall deal with the period of National Socialism in the Mitte district. In addition, the branch is also regularly used for events like readings and film screenings in order to be a vibrant local meeting space for cultural exchange in the Kiez.
