Inventory

Following the merger of the library collections from the three former 
local history museums Wedding, Mitte and Tiergarten, we needed time to unite the different sections. The newly developed classification has already demonstrated its functionality for research and the use of 
literature.

First and foremost, each source is evaluated by a specialist. The data-
base system “First Rumos” has enabled us to make around a quarter of the library collection accessible in digital format so far, facilitating the systematic search for text entries and keywords. The library classification is also used for this purpose. The goal is to digitize the entire library collection in order to obtain the best possible research results and to 
widen the use of the collection through exchanges with external 
databases.
